Yes, we have special weekly rates. Further discounts apply to all bookings of four weeks or more.
Is Insurance included in the hire cost of your caravans?
Yes, all our caravans have an Australia wide, full comprehensive insurance policy.
Do I need to install electric brakes on my car?
No, we have we have electric brake units for hire at $100/hire.
If you wish to purchase a brake controller, we recommend the Elecbrake portable brake controller. We have these available to purchase on-site. Simply give us a call and we can talk you through the benefits of this unit as opposed to having a permanent brake controller installed in your car.
Will the caravan fridge work while I drive?
Possibly, this will depend on which car plug you have and how it is wired. If you need the fridge to work give us a call and we can talk you through your options.
Are pets allowed?
Yes, however you must discuss this with Oz caravan hire prior to pick and noted on your rental agreement.
Can I take the caravan off road?
All our caravans can be driven on any 2WD road, this includes dirt roads.
Can you drop off and pick up the caravan for me?
Yes, for an additional fee we can deliver anywhere in Australia.
What is your pickup and drop off times?
You can pick up anytime from 9am on the day of your hire and return the caravan before 4pm on your final day.
Do we have to pay a bond on the caravan?
Yes, you will need to pay a $1,000 bond.
Which trailer plug do I need?
No matter which plug you have on your car, you will be able to tow our vans.
All our caravans are setup with a 12-pin flat trailer plug. We have adapters available for all other plug types. However, if you only have a 7-pin plug on your car, the fridge will not operate while you are driving.
How do I determine my car’s towing capacity?
These details will be stated on your car’s compliance plate or on the tow bar.
The following needs to be considered:
- Aggregate Trailer Mass (ATM): The braked towing capacity of your car needs to be greater than the caravan’s ATM
- Tow ball weight: the max tow ball load of your car needs to be greater than the ball weight of the caravan.
Is there a limit to how many km’s I can travel?
No, you are free to travel as many km’s as you please.
Do you supply bed linen?
Linen can be provided at an additional fee.
